ARTivism: Art Workshops & Little Stones Screening

September 8th, 2018

In September 2018, The Acorn Project was proud to host a film screening of the award-winning documentary, Little Stones, at Bell Arts Factory in Ventura. The film weaves together the personal narratives of four women who are using art – fashion, street-art, hip-hop, and dance – to challenge gender-based violence and empower women and girls around the world. Following the film, guests participated in art workshops held by local artists to learn how to we can use the arts to impact change in our own lives.
